I've been looking into doing air brushing, since you don't get much air bourne paint like spray cans. I decided to attempt painting in my room, here I've made a low budget paint booth. This is Version 1.0 and if it works fairly well, I will go back and make a v2.0.

You should be fine due to the fact that all the automotive paint in Cali has to be water based I believe. If it was solvent based it would run you out the room fast.

Thanks for reminding me, I forgot to mention I'll be using Water-based paint. California and all their strict rules.

one thing to watch out for with using water based paint in an airbrush is the fact it will ruin one fast. water based paint is hard on equipment as it is thicker than solvent based. just make sure to clean your gun inside and out after ever use to keep paint from building up in it.

Very true! I was testing and did a quick water flush, it instantly clogged up my tip for the second use. I had to take it apart and clean it out with thinner.

Here are 2 bodies i've painted recently, they were old bodies I had laying around. One was already white, the other I removed the paint from using brake fluid.

Looks good. You should offer your skills as a service to the local racers ;) It would be a fun way for you to have a little extra in the racing budget.
