Seems that the 21st is our best bet for a full house this month, and it seems to work out for most of you too. So, same classes as usual and I will be qualifying everyone at noon. The racing is getting better and there are more cars out on the track so we will be splitting into heats earlier than usual.

And be on the lookout... Quinn is freshly armed with 2.4s now!

No sweat, as long as it gets here by the 21st!

I've been very liberal with the racing for a while now due to new members and everyone getting back into the swing of things but as all of our skills improve it becomes clear that there needs to be more organization of the racing. Its tough for the slower guys to wait to back out into heavy traffic and its hard on the fast guys to be in a chase only to get wrapped up into a group wreck... This is why all clubs have to sort.

So be ready to push yourselves a little harder on the 21st!

My dear Mr. Quinn, of course I will ship your new gear out as fast as possible:D . I will be home the end of the week so if all goes as expected you should have everything by mid-late next week. Plenty of time to get ready for your GTG April 21. :) I'ma miss my Helios, served me well. I'm not sure yet Ty but Im thinking I might even sell my EX-1UR to get funds for.. Well, the new kid on the block.. :D

Yeah, I told Quinn that the Helios is chock-full of settings and menus and lots of buttons and adjustments... I said I'll will program a profile for a basic ASF MR02 so Quinny can bind-n-drive basically.

But actually now I'm thinking I'ma need to remove the drop-down wheel upgrade kit to ship.. Of course you can still drive without the kit to get the itch outta the way then attach the drop-down kit:)

Good to know Quinny got so much local support! That's awesome!
Cheers guys:D

We'll get him going... probably better to remove the drop-down anyways because the potentiometer in there can be damaged in shipping, it's better boxed up loose.

Man Quinny doesn;t need 2.4 to be a factor in winning
That Boy can Drive!!!

Will let you know about the 21st. I think Golddust may have a test
the week of the 22nd so have to doublecheck with the Team Owner
(My Wife!) if we're cleared to go

Guys, TGR will have to pass, Golddust has an important Test that week and the following one that lasts 3 days and we don't want to burn him out considering he's just going into High School this fall
so We'll have to catch up with you in May!

Make sure Quinny and Justin stay honest for me!
Mike

If you feel like stopping over this weekend for a quick tune, let me know. I now have the 2.4 installed in your F1 too, but the steering is flipped (one of my cars is too... no big deal). Call or text me when you can, I should be free Sunday afternoon.

Finally organizing and consolidating all my parts so I don't bring so dang much to the track!
I have the R8 body on the 02 and the 458 body on the 03 ready to go. Just need to work on the F1 some and I'm all set for the 21st...:D

imxlr8ed
2013.04.08, 02:43 PM
Yeah... I hate lugging all my gear to the track too!

Good to hear! I'm sure you'll leave something you need at home though, always works like that when I go on the road.

Gordon will be joining us the 21st as well, and he will be buying one of my "loaner" cars so we can count on him being a solid part of our race crew!

So, I'd say we are up to 9 solid racers and a few floaters... not sure if we'll get Justin back anytime soon. By now, I'm sure he's dominating 10th scale scene up there in the Lehigh Valley. ;)

Pretty soon it'll be like the old days at Schlegal Park and people will have to pit outside...

I'll just setup tables in the garage if I ever have to.

Anyone have a flat computer monitor they're not using? I'm thinking of hooking one up in the middle ceiling so we can check our results and stuff without having to come over to my area. An extra big flat screen tv mounted on the backstretch wall would work too! ;)

hilldebrandt
2013.04.10, 05:26 PM
I have a 19 inch 720p flat screen tv/monitor that the cable input broke (just needs to be resoldered). A line of resolution also is not working in the middle of the screen, so I'm not using it. I'll give it to you if you want it since I was going to throw it out anyway...

check gov't and corporate surplus/off lease sites. i picked up a 20" flat panel for remnant for $20 this way. just screw through the base mount into the joists and your good to go :p

imxlr8ed
2013.04.11, 12:37 AM
Yeah, I'll snag that from the dumpster Greg!

Government... Surplus? I thought there was a law passed that those two words can no longer be used together in the same sentence? ;)
I'll definitely check those sites out though!

i also used a VGA spliter box with sound support. we still have 2 open ports at remnant which i plan to fill ;) having screens in pit areas, away from the pc and drivers helps keep the distractions to a min. with people walking around to see times. also helps show who's due at for the next race.

Good racing/tune time and another good turnout. Ed, sorry you were under the weather a bit but Dave did a fine job.;)

As far as May racing...so far the 5, 12, 26th look good.

imxlr8ed
2013.04.22, 10:46 AM
Slowly recovering... I have no idea what the heck it was, but it knocked the hell outta me!

Sorry I couldn't join you guys but as long as we got our racing in, that's all that matters! Thanks Dave for managing the races. It's funny, when I was in and out of conciousness upstairs, I heard someone announce a 50 lap finish and thought that someone just got a ton faster!

imxlr8ed
2013.04.28, 11:14 AM
So... 12th, 19th or 26th for May? I'm gonna say the 19th is probably the best shot for most of us but you guys need to let me know when is best for you so I can go where the numbers are greater.

Please post your preferences!

The 12th is Mother's day...so that's out for me.

I'm all for the 19th. With the next weekend being Memorial Day weekend, that won't work for me either. ..
