Ok, either the 14th, 21st or possibly the 28th... you gotta post your preference ASAP. Majority rules as always.

I kinda prefer the 21st or the 28th.

I still have to ok the 28th with the boss, but I'm sure she'll be ok with it.

I'm leaning towards the 28th myself, works out better for me time-wise.

Man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. (said in John Wayne voice)

That's right dude! I'm the boss in my marriage too! (when she says I can be)

Anyways... I knew you'd be missing your gear if you got down there! Great to hear he's still going with the shop! Maybe it'll inspire Larry to open a shop in the Bershire or Fairgrounds mall! He's already got a decent inventory going!

2013.07.09, 10:37 AM
Ok, I'll start the shop next time we race...

Be sure to have your track fees ready when you guys get here next time! You also have to use the rental transponders (dollar a lap), and the special "spec" tires too!

 (yeah right!)

racerquinn#1
2013.07.09, 05:47 PM

I used to say if I won the lottery I'd open a hobby shop. But who am I kidding? I wouldn't want all that hassle....lol.
I'd just build a huge pole barn and put a track in and have everyone come on over and race!

lfisminiz

That will work to!:)

Ok, so on top of the track fees and you guys buying spec tires to race here... I will need a contribution to our RMZR "Pole Barn" Lottery fund as well. :D

Anyways...
The 28th should be good, I don't think we can get more familiar with what we've been running as far as classes go. But as always, if anyone needs track time to tune, just let me know on here!

I was downstairs last night trying to save my laptop/lapcounter from going into meltdown mode. Apparently my design files have filled that hard drive much faster than I anticipated and some of them are gone forever. So I had to transfer everything over to the "new" laptop. Hopefully I didn't just blow up anything in the program... I'll find out tonight for sure.

Speaking of spec parts...I will finally be debuting my dirt oval late model this Sunday at Singley's speedway after having to get a spec motor package and spec batteries. Motor and esc $169...batteries $70 a pop. Tires are roughly $60 a set...Oy

Not to mention the hour and a half drive there, the entry fees, the possibility of bad weather... etc.

Just try to keep a gallon in the tank for the 28th so you can come race for free all day with nearly no track time limit! :D (had free pizza and drinks last time too!)

hilldebrandt
2013.07.11, 10:16 AM
Lol. I'll have gas in the tank this time....

i have a question (pictures included) one of my chargers decided to either over heat or just malfuntion....had 4 AA's charging. i left for a few hours cause i know they take a while to charge on the chargers. i came back to all 4 batteries drained, just by the image on the charger was no battery life. the plastic on the charger was deform and so was the wrap around the batteries. i contaced hobbypartz and they said they couldn't do anything due to it has been over 30 days.

im guessing the chargers and batteries are toast?

I have an old habit of never walking away from chargers when they are running. I have a pile of fried chargers to remind me not to.

Are those cells triple or double? I've never fried AAs before!?

racerquinn#1
2013.07.18, 12:25 PM
they are AA's

2013.07.18, 07:43 PM
Quinny for the money you invested in that you could get a decent one for probably the same price or less
Those Batteries and charger are shot, either throw them out
or mount them on a plaque for rememberance of what not to do with
batteries when they fail

Anyways... awful quiet on this thread, actually... this whole site has been fairly quiet for a while.

I'm going down now to cleanup a bit, charge some cells. I was thinking of a track change but it's just hard to mess with perfection.

Coolest name ever given to a charger... SuperBrain!

Yes Quinn, they used to be hi-tech!

Track is all ready to go, I did take a few laps in the 599 just to be sure. I would say something about the way it ran but why jinx it?

Cyall soon. Oh, and if anyone has a stock 02 tower bar they wanna get rid of, I'll take it!

Good time race/tuning. We had 5 racers...not bad for middle of summer.

Missed your calk Larry, give me a buzz tomorrow after work.

Good day as always. Sorry I wasn't pushing the races as much but I'd rather be sure everyone had time to tune. 599 was good but I do think the motor is getting tired. My F1s were terrible, must be those fancy stainless screws I installed! The track really changed today, I do intend to give it a cleanup with a wet rag sometime soon to get all the dust off. The track surface feels different to me for some reason... I think it may be the air freshener I sprayed down there a few days ago, that's the only thing different I can think of.

August 25th is the next planned date... Thread coming soon.

I forgot about the racing day until after 1:00 and by that time didn't feel like coming...lol.
Besides I ran Saturday at Singley's all day and was pretty beat by Saturday night. Finished 6th in my 1st dirt oval race in 20 years...but then again there were only 6 in that class.:p
Battled steering issues all day....
