I have it in mind to build an Overland chassis with a LandCruiser body and convert it into an Icelandic style "Arctic" off roader like that in the photo below.

I recently came across a pair of Hot Racing Overland / Monster wheels and tires as seen here:

Does anyone have any experience using the Hot Racing wheels and know if they mount well on an Overland chassis or even if there will be much work needed to make them fit the chassis/body?

All tips appreciated. Thanks.

I guess these weren't that popular, huh?

But they sure look nice :)

I decided to spring for them at fifty bucks (ouch!) and now that they've arrived, I'm surprised by how big they are. They make Lego tires look puny and will clearly need a pile of work to fit on the chassis properly without rubbing.

They appear to be much more "monster truck" then offroader. They are absolutely huge for the size of the body.

That's rather the conclusion I have reluctantly come to. Now back to the drawing board to find a good pair of rims and tires.
