Installed and tested yesterday. It's a great motor. Lots of torque compared to the original Kyosho motor. It also seems to have a good amount of drag compared to other brushless motors. Only got a few runs last night with it. Will provide a better review later. It is faster than the Atomic 9000kv motor. It's a bullet. Our track is around 34ft long and I'm only on full throttle for about half to three quarters of a second. I have to roll on and off.

A drop in brushless motor replacement. Cool.
Who sells it and ships to Canada?

See the post above yours, at last check they had 4 in stock.

Thanks for the pointer and great that stores have stock already.

I hope this isn't a daft question but could this motor also be a drop-in replacement for the Overland or Monster series vehicles?

I'm having serious palpitations at the possibility of a brushless monster ... or buggy?!

does this come with the connecting wires?

No Ray. Kenon sells very nice wire to use. Much better then what comes with the Kyosho motor and chassis.;)

Thanks. What about the connectors? Or do most hardware right to the board instead of using connectors.

Hard wiring is the way to go for motors with these tab connectors.

Same here.

yeah connectors just cause more resistance. not the best way to go

not sure how you guys are doing it but it's an enormous pita to get the wires soldered to the board and still keep the top cover on.

i have done it both ways with out any problems....however i dont stand my wires up like i have seen many do.... i lay my wires down running them under the dds plate
an option is to remove the top cover and attach the wires to the board and replace the top cover
then trim to length and attach the wires to the motor:)

anyone have experience with the other new PN brushless motors?

PN Racing Mini-Z Brushless Motor 5500kv
Part Number 130055

PN Racing Mini-Z Brushless Motor 7500kv
Part Number 130075

PN Racing Mini-Z Brushless Motor 11500kv
Part Number 130115

i'm hoping to find a good 70t equivalent brushless motor as our club does not have the track space to take advantage of mod class motors.

5500kv sounds interesting, I know several people looking for solid stock motor replacement. I am waiting for the slower Kyosho brushless myself(blue in color).
