Anyone else building one? I've been working on mine since it arrived last week. Just thought I'd post a few pics and share where it's at so far.

I love it!

I need the Losi version - an original JrX2.

I would totally be all over one of those too if Losi did an anniversary edition re release of it. Loved that car also.

One of my most memorable RC moments was provided to me by this chassis. I was working part time at a carpet warehouse when I was in high school, was a slow Saturday at work and I decided to take the 10 outside for some tuning.

Had it up to speed down the parking lot when it suddenly flipped into reverse, promptly did a 180 and proceeded full speed into reverse right out into the road. A big boat of an old Pontiac station wagon saw it coming out into the road and was kind enough to lock up the brakes to try to avoid it but it was too late. The 10 went under the passenger front tire and then ground to a halt around 5 or 6 feet later.

After the long walk over to what I was sure to be a pile of smashed dollar signs, I was really surprised when the guy backed off the thing and I hit the throttle and the car drove over to the curb! Whaaaaaat?!?!

A popped linkage, some new suspension adjustments and some deep grind marks on that beautiful gold tub... Other than that... Good to go!

It was the first car I ever raced with, the first car I ever placed with. Had a bunch of runs with it and it always came back for more. Knuckles busted a bit more than I liked bit other than that it was a tough little ride.

Great story!! That's insane that it survived being run over  They are definitely tough buggies though. This car is what started it all for me also. Waaaaayyyy back in the 80s lol.

It wasn't run over... when I say ground to a halt, I mean... big old wagon, brakes locked, front passenger tire on the car being used as a road grinder.

The one front corner of the tub was almost ground through. The guy backed up off of it. Some of the plastic was damaged but not smashed to bits, I know some thru holes were elongated in the worst way, but after some wrenching it still drove! If it would've been my Tamyia, I would've had to clean it up with a dustpan and broom.

Wonder if they'll ever throw a box stock class event for the RC10... I would certainly try to attend that race!

Oh ok. That makes more sense. Still though that is a major beating and a real feat of survival.

A race like that would be incredible. I've tried numerous times in my area to put together some form of vintage racing class and only a handful of guys ever show any interest.:(
