Hmm, the PDF takes me to the same page as the first link. For the first link I go the HFAY website and then click on "rules" but don't see specific info. Following the link at the bottom of the first link in post #5 I see a "Season 12 Racer Manual". Is this what I'm looking for? thanks :)

sorry, the links must have gone bad. i've asked brian for PDF copy of the most current version and will post them when received.

basically, PN 70 turn motor, 175gm min. weight, can't butcher the body to hell, no brushless.

anyone have spare equipment to create a wifi network for the track computer? i finally have an android device and there is an android app for zround but works on wifi vs. bluetooth. no hobby works wifi exists so we would need to setup our own. i've asked and zero chance hobby works will get wifi.

Yeah I've got an old spare router. I will bring it to the track tomorrow unless you want me to wait until Saturday?

You can always just plug a wifi adaptor into the computer and use it in peer mode.

friendly reminder :p it's going to be tight on space due to track layout length but we should all fit.

i saw some fun racing while i wasn't distracted with other things :p i don't always get enough time to chat with everyone or watch all the races. it didn't help that my HFAY car was once again not up to par. it's an excuse though, i got beat solidly :o the perfect car wouldn't have changed the outcome and yesterday, Kris was just on point, bumping way up the ranks.

thank you to all of you who could make it out. it's you guys that make these events.:p i'm more of just a facilitator;)

john, i hope you get your car sorted out. not sure what was going on there, i didn't get much chance to talk.

i was up very late last night disassembling my car and rebuilding it in a more stock setup. it had gotten to the point where i had changed so many things i would be better off starting from a more standard setup and tweaking again from there. lets face it, sometimes its just as much fun building a car as it is driving it :p at least it should be

Yeah in racing some days are better than others. I too had both my cars in parts. My stock car had a busted 4th servo gear and my stocker needed a new top plate. I managed to get them back together and on the track and set a personal record.

I did however post up more laps with my stock car(with70t motor) than my hfay car though my hfay car could have done better had I been more consistent.

And what about the newcomer Andy? Man he was quick out there. Did any ask if he's on the forum?

Andy was fast and good lines right from the get go! First day with us and he's already in the top mains.

Yes, he's on the forum. Maybe just shy?

Ray / Kris,

Thanks! Probably some beginner's luck at work for my official Mini Z debut, but I'll take it! :) I had more fun racing Mini Z's with you guys than I have had in quite some time with the 1/10th scale stuff. Looking forward to coming out again soon, possibly for the next HW Kyosho stock day. Want to also thank Ray for his help, as I had sent him more than a few PMs over the past month, chock full of "newb" questions, and he always answered quickly and informatively. Hope to see you guys at the track soon.

a couple parts orders arrived and here is my rebuilt HFAY chassis. in't not complete as i intend to replace the damper kit with the kyosho model. i already have the rear oil shock for that kit. it looks great but won't know how it drives till i put it on the track.
