Kyosho has posted a response (http://ameblo.jp/kyoshoblog/) to reports of problems with steering trim.

Domo is ***umoto I am asked what results starting with overseas customers talk of "over the Minute sport is no longer running straight." It's adjusted to run straight by turning to the left or right (trim) knob at the top of the (handle) steering wheel of the transmitter is basically, that it is not run straight even when fully turned full left or right, There may be the case. In such a case, because there is a possibility that the shift is neutral on the vehicle body side, please try to fix in this way. (It is written also in the instruction manual.) and then turn on the 1. body. Do not put the power to the transmitter at this time. To straighten to move by hand 2. Front tire. Press and hold, LED will flash quickly twice with pairing stick that comes with the set the pairing button 3. Check that the (rightward triangle knob trim) trim center position of the transmitter when it is not straight. This orientation is the center position or now run straight? Please note that on the contrary, it will become not run straight would have been stored in a state in which the neutral is shifted it has been fully long press accidentally pairing button while the front tire is bent. If yours is so, then please try to adjust in this way. In addition.

Anyone try these instructions successfully?

I have a car that requires a sub trim adjustment of 20 and because of that the car can't turn as much in left vs right. I have the endpoints set to max in the direction that doesn't turn much but can't gete it to turn more.

It worked for me. Turn the remote on, set steering trim in the middle. turn off the remote. Turn the car on adjust wheels to center, hit the pairing button. Turn the car off. then turn the remote on and the car and you should be all set.

Nope, it doesn't work for me.

When I press the pairing button the led becomes solid.

Mine was solid as well. Its strange because the directions above state it will flash, however the manual says it will emit a solid light and that will turn off when complete. I held mine and the light came on and I continued to hold the button in for another 5 seconds or so. Then powered everything down and back up and was pretty close to center.

Strange, I held it for like 30 seconds and it never turned off. Can you tell me where in the manual the instructions are?

Thanks,

K

Hey KWT,

The instructions for it are on page 22 of the manual. They start in the middle of the page and is a very short non detailed explanation. Good luck and I hope this helps.

ok, I don't have a Sport model, That's why it's not working for me. I have a MR03 ASF and a MR02 ASF that's way off on one side.

Anyone know a way to correct this on an ASF version?

Jshwaa,

I have the manuals. The issue is that I can't find a solution to my issue. The old 27MHz cars had a pot to adjust steering trim. the ASF cars don't seem to have a way to do it except on the transmitter. That creates a steering travel imbalance. The car doesn't have enough steering in one direction to make a turn on a RCP track.

after i busted my steering wheel on my ex5-ur, i had the same problem with my cars after repairing the wheel. no matter what i did, steering was 75% full lock in one direction. i tested the same car on another transmitter and it worked fine so i just replaced the transmitter until i have the time to send it back to kyosho to fix. it still sitting on my desk...
