View Full Version : Sexy Knights AE86

I can't stay away from these things, so I recently purchased an MA-010 and an AE86. I'll be recreating Sachiyo ***ushi's old AE86.

I had to make a new username, because I had some trouble logging into the old one. Anyway, my old name was Faze if anyone was curious haha.

Started working on lowering the body a ton from stock and getting the wheels as close to the fender as possible. I shaved the tires and the fender to clear. So far I only have the front done.

I hate the stock front bumper on these autoscales (minus the j-blood lip), so that was the first thing to be changed.

shaved plate and fog light mounts

As it sits now. I'll be painting the center opening between the two bottom ones black, because I can't cut it out without affecting the front clip mount.

I'm not trying to do an exact replica, because this will be driven a lot when it's done.

Thanks for looking!

Welcome back mate. Good to see someone else besides myself is still working on these bodies. I'd love to see more progress. So far, so good.

Thanks guys!

Filled in the little opening where the license plate met the bumper line under the rectangular cutout. Just have to clean up the front and then it should be ready for paint. Might end up doing some Ganador style side mirrors, but i'm not sure yet. I just want to drive the thing haha

Taking me forever to get the car to drive without rubbing haha  Ended up taking a heat gun to the fenders and pulling the plastic out a bit, on top of shaving them down paper thin. The front clip has a spacer on it, and I glued the body clips higher up inside the body.

I was able to fit +1 wides (0deg are pictured in the front, because I need to order wheels) all around with 4.5deg of camber in the front, and zero out back. Just need to throw some filler on the fenders and it should be ready for paint. I love how low it is :D
