I will not be able to make it due to it being my better half's birthday the same day:)

couldn't have asked for a better way to start of HFAY season 19! we had an excellent turn out of 17 drivers! clockwise, we split all the way down to H Main as we use bump up's to hit the 3 min. drivers per main. slightly fewer drivers for counter clockwise as some prefer to run that direction.

the discussion and decisions to run brushed or brushless were very interesting and ended up with a mixed field with at least 3 brushless drivers, 1 stock and the rest 70T. we will all be watching the results to see how the motor options equate to lap counts.

most of the mains were very close and some nail biters with the lead changing within the last 30 seconds of the race.

thank you all for making it an enjoyable day and hope to see just as many for races 3 and 4!

Yeah what a great turnout! That 17 didn't include Dwight or Bill so we could have had more. It was a great time racing with everyone. Lots of competition out there and some very exciting racing. I hope we can get a large turnout in two weeks for the 3L layout.

Looks like a good time...Al will fill me in. ;)

i did goof up and did not double check the min. lap time which ended up costing us about 20 minutes in lost time. other than that, we kept things moving well.

we all know you can't give al an inch on the track, he'll make it a mile in a heart beat ;)

Just talked to him....he really enjoyed the day.

you were missed, there were some sighs of relief though for those aiming for A Main ;)

Ray, I just want to say thanks for setting up and running the races. I know what it can be like sometimes running the races and trying to race yourself. You know that I am always willing to help out if you need me to. It would have been something if you would have knocked Saint out of the A main. You had lap lead on him at the 5 minute mark.

I was also happy to see such a great turn out. We have a new club member that is willing to come over to VA if work allows him to race. Tommy was not there either. If we had everyone show we could see 20 or 21 drivers I think.

We have a good group that likes to have fun and joke around with each other.

yeah, that would have been fun but luck wasn't on my side , breaking my tx wheel right at the end loosing self centering. Joey had a similar heart break when his batteries dumped in the last couple laps costing him a bump up as well. those are the breaks though... saint put the pressure on the whole race and took the deserved win.

I know that I won out of our group but I also screwed up when I forgot to change my radio back from letting Jeromy run my Box Stock car for the filler car in the first race. I was wondering why the set-up seemed so far off. We are all human.
