I'd like to get more power out of my Mr-03 ve motor. It seems like my stock Mr-03 (brushed) has more horsepower. I've tried all kinds of things like:

1. Installing new batteries (duh)
2. Upgrading to a pn 5500 brushless motor.
3. Modifying the ICS settings for high constant speed, etc.
4. Changing pinion / spur combo.

As it sits, it's not that it doesn't move along ok, Id just like some more motor umphf. Thoughts? Would upgrading fets help?

I just got a ve pro chassie with the 8000 kv motor and i think it is as fast as a 50t but it doesnt seem as torquey. I see where pn has 3 different armatures perhaps try 1 for torque

Try running it with an 8T pinion or smaller. That will give it some grunt and still more top end than you will ever need. It will help the car slow down as well.

I agree with Mike, you need to run the brushless motors with much smaller pinions than what brushed cars run.

I run a 9t on my pn5500 and it' has plenty of torque and top end speed.
