October 22, 2016 - Kyosho Stock

This will be held at Hobby Works, Fairfax, VA

This will be run on 3 wide L track layout.

Confirmed 5 NC guest races will be attending both Remnant and Hobby Works for this weekend. :D

as fall/winter attendance grows, I will need to start qualifying at 1pm, if not sooner in order to get everyone out on time. Please try to arrive in time to practice before qualifying as I cannot continued to extend open practice thru 1-2pm as attendance picks up in the fall.
If you know you are going to be late, please let me know so I can add you into the qualifying regardless if you can make it as it becomes infinitely more difficult to add racers once the die is cast so to speak.

I managed to get the Mazda demonstration car working again so the fleet is up to 4. Please remember, if you do not have a Kyosho Stock class legal car, your more than welcome to run one of the demonstration cars. as always, you can run whatever your willing to put on the track for MOD class.

purchased an inexpensive replacement printer for the club. the current printer is flashing all lights like a christmas tree and really don't have time in the race day to bother with it so cheaper to replace it.

We will have 4 stock demonstration cars available should someone need :p

Please be sure to arrive with sufficient time to practice BEFORE qualifying :D

Also, please remember, we have higher rates of children participating in stock class so please understand there will be traffic and there will be the collisions. If this presents a problem, please feel free to wait for appropriate track conditions. If the need arises, i am happy to address with practice session time for experienced drivers only. Qualifying will be staged as practical based on assumed and demonstrated skill.

This would be opportune time to demonstrate/tutor/mentor to the less experienced drivers better tuning, driving, practice and patience ;) We were all newbs at one point after all.

REMINDER: stock class mains have been reduced to 8 minutes.
MOD class mains remain 10 minutes.

Hi Ray, im trying to come out..could we run mod first? bc i might not be able to stay for multiple races

Certainly a possibility however this creates it's own challenges in that you have a good number of kids, etc. that show up for stock class that will either practice at the same time (increased opportunity for collisions) or sit around for a couple hours. There are varying levels of patience and comportment that must be considered and managed :p we'll figure something out.

I am always treated to a good time when I am in town. This time the 5 of us that came up from the Carolina's had a particularly good time. it is always great fun to see old faces and make new friends. The basic racing classes make it easy for out of towners to throw something down and run well both with and in competition against the home team. The small trials and tribulations(like bringing the wrong radio) don't seem to be so catastrophic when you are welcomed and have a good time.

Keep up the good work and know that we will again come back for some good times. Thanks to all.

13 drivers for the day! aside from the flysky transmitter issues, i hope the NC/SC team had a good time. it can be frustrating to say the least when all works well then poorly.

Racing in both mod and stock class were close and very competitive all day! John had an excellent showing in stock class as well:p

here are mod class results.
