Hey guys - I have a 5500, 9000 (I think) and 11500 motors that I want to try out and wondered if I need a FET upgrade for any of them?

Also, I ordered some of the 22AWG PN wire and I know most people like to soldier direct to the boar/motor but where can I get good banana plugs (link? Size?) that I could use with this PN wire to have a removable/changeable option for quickly taking them out? Using the stock esc side female plugs.

I can't say that I've seen anyone need a FET upgrade after or while running those motors.

The 9500 and less you should be good. Dont over heat motor.

Got out my micrometer and it looks like they're 2mm banana plugs.

Found some on Amazon and BangGood.

I ordered some 2mm connectors from Amazon, they'll be here Wed 27 Jan.

If they fit the stock Kyosho brushless motor, I'll let you know.

The male banana plugs on the stock Kyosho VE motors seem to be smaller/more compact/less length than the ones I'm seeing on amazon.

Any ideas where to get those exact ones that fit perfectly with the Kyosho female plugs from the ESC? I have PN 20 and 22 AWG wire on the way.

Also, what is the shrink/black rubber tubing they are using?

Thanks!

These connectors are a perfect fit for the VE connectors. I won't say that all the 2mm connectors will fit, but these do.

Just use heat shrink tubing and trim the edges.

My bad, forgot about the link issue.

Just search for 2mm bullet connector by Atomic Market

Just hit your local Radio Shack or Home Depot. Take the motor along and match up the size (a little bigger than the connector of course).

I bought an assortment of sizes from Home Depot years ago and still got a ton of it left.

If you have a Harbor Freight near you they sell an assortment of heat shrink tubing. You just need to find a size that is slightly bigger than the connector and slide it on and heat it up. Trim with a hobby knife.
