Kyosho Stock

This class evolved out of what I used to know as "Box Stock" class. We used to race with just what was in the box. No exceptions besides tires. We filled our gear diffs, greased our top shocks and front springs and hoped for the best. I want to keep a bit of that old rigid spirit and also make Kyosho Stock the class where anyone who wants to drive and have some fun can make it happen. This class will evolve as Kyosho brings new products to the market. This is what I have as a start.

Kyosho chassis, no modifications
Stock electronics, no modifications
Stock motors & PN 70t motors are OK too, no modifications
AAA rechargeable nimh only
Kyosho bodies, no modifications (whitebodies with paint or stickers are OK)
Aftermarket front body mounts and reinforcements are OK
Kyosho tires, no doping
T-plate open
Front springs open
94 & 98mm bodies that can't fit the LM or MM2 mount can run a PN Multi Length Disk Damper with soft springs only
86 & 90mm bodies are open disk damper with stock motor mounts
Bearings are encouraged
Wheels can be replaced with similar offsets
Metal wheel nuts are encouraged
Aftermarket servo gears are OK

The Murdertown rental fleet will be available for Kyosho Stock racing at all Murdertown events with a reservation on the rental fleet thread. $10 per car includes batteries, support and food.

I think the rules look good and inclusive. Puts everything on a level playing field. I don't have intentions of changing my car... I like the MM2 mount and damper a lot, arguably the best bang for the buck setup you can get.

Just some thought:

Bearings, This just helps with the stock bushings wearing out quickly.

Servo metal 4th gear. Not a performance gain but most of the LM cars break that gear earlier then most.

Wheels, We allow the rims to be replaced just because they end up breaking or getting bent sooner or later. We just limit it that you replace the rims with the same size and offset that comes with the body you are running. Some of the guys like to get the metal rims just for the bling factor.

I also missed metal wheel nuts, they are encouraged.

In addition, front body mounts will be open.
