It is almost time for the first event of the year. We will be racing Sunday at the local Courtyard hotel. We will be running Kyosho Stock and 90mm Remnant style for classes.

Will you already have the track set up at 11? Not sure if I can make it but I am working on it. Thanks

The setup will start at 10 so the track will be down first and the rest of the circus will follow. There will be food and bottled water for everyone and I plan to race from about 12 to 5 and have plenty of open practice time.
The track will be as big as I can manage, think 5 or 6 wide-Ls and some oval inside turns added in. I have 144 straight tiles cleaned and ready for the layout and I build sections at home so it moves in manageable pieces that go together fast.
Hopefully things work out and you can attend...

WOW! that is big. At this time I think I will be there. I will see who else is planning on coming also. Is this your new plan instead of the bike shop?

This was going to happen at some point, there are also plans for bigger venues. We now have enough track to fill a school gym so we are searching for a good fit.
The bike shop is just too full to make space for the track and racers. They built all the bikes from their preseason orders to stay busy.
We will have more space, more time, more power outlets and a more comfortable setting. The hotel is surrounded by places to eat and there is a mall nearby.
Im on the bus heading down... it's been a hike on the nyc transit system this time. Almost 2hrs for a 20 minute ride. Glad I expected some delays and left early.
I hope to see you Mike... it will be fun! I've seen some proposed layouts, and excited to see which one gets laid out.
Gihosu, does this mean no tacos since food is close?

Nope, I am in the kitchen now making the proteins for the tacos. We will be well fed.
Austin and I will be there. What room will it be in?

Excellent! We will be in the conference room, walk through the lobby and make a left at the hallway and the conference room is on your right side. It is a short distance from the front door so load-in should be quick and easy.
I am glad you posted, I wanted to call you but my recent calls only go back to December so I don't have your phone number.
See you tomorrow...

Sounds good, Cooking is done for the night and I am checking my list and everything seems to be in place. Drive safe and we will see you soon.
I had a great time yesterday. Wish I had gotten the GLA dialed in before the main... but it showed potential in practice after the races. Saint had a great drive in 90mm, and had found the setup early. From the moment his car hit the track it worked really well.

It's fun to hear about the races and now know who the guys are.
Way to go SAINT!

I'd like to come up there for a race sometime this summer, so maybe this is it. But it's another 90 minutes past Remnant.
Any other big races on East coast planned for June - Sept.?
Not intending to hijack the thread. Definitely considering this race, but I only get to choose one.

I think your car could make that 60 minutes.
There is this one and we are in early planning stages for something this fall, stay tuned...

Due to circumstances beyond my control I have to cancel the March event. Work got in the way, I apologize.
