Can we restrict to f1 style appearance body with open wheel? I think until we see how things shape up, it is best to keep the rules as open as possible so long as the appearance of f1/ open wheeled cars is maintained.

Yup, changed to open wheel only...
Great, I was already starting to look for 1/24 scale 4.5in (114mm) bodies. Just to see what kind of can of worms could be opened by an open body rule set. It is nice to see a relatively inviting rule structure that just says "get cars on track". I need to prep my Kyosho F1 for a track day... it has been so long since I have had an f1 on track.

There are some lexan bodies out there that could be mounted on the GLF to make it LMP style just like the 1/10 F1s can use. That certainly crossed my mind . I want to wait to open that can of worms until I get a backup GLF to experiment with.
When I started the club I wanted to include F1 because of the work the guys at MC3 were doing. I was figuring I could get some Kyosho F1s on the track along with the new offerings. Since GL adds another chassis to the mix the class will go into rotation as soon as there are enough entries to race.
The first shipment of GLFs should arrive in time to be on track for the October event. I will be busy when I get mine...
I have always been an advocate for the F1 class, it's just so much fun to drive. The addition of the GLF1 chassis to the mix will be interesting, we will need to see how the class develops. I think it's going to be a hit.
