Nice work BJS-TS.
Can you give us any specs: how many turns; wire gauge; how's the torque and speed?

Sorry... It's no spec... Depend on what you want!!!
It's tailer made motor. I need to know my customer driving style. What ESC using (e.g. 3004, 3006, 7389, Turbo... etc). Want more boost or end speed... etc. Because no motor is suitable to all.
Can tell you. Some motor for Turbo is very boost but at FET car is not boost. Same SWG and turn but diff wound type also have diff output.
Usually, I use SWG 30/37.5 Turn, SWG 30/38 Turn, SWG 29/37 Turn.

What type of motor (#turns, guage, etc... ) would work well with a 24 FET(7389) upgrade. This would be for a long road course
w/'35 straightaway.
Thanx

Those are nice armatures, in the first pick are one of the arms a stock arm?

Hey NML,
It's all good. I'm just curious to find out if BJSTF can deal w/24 FET's. hehe

Usually, I use Tamiya motor rotor.

Have you try SWG 27/26 Turn??? 25~27 Turn also have super effect in near your spec... But haven't try in this FET...

I think this picture is only to show some nice armature to you. NML also have nice motor in USA...
Some as me to make motor... But I think I only can tailer make motor to my customer only... Sorry to someone want my motor... But nice to share experience to all of you...

Het BJS-TF,
Your arms do look nice, you did a good job on them. Isn't the
Plasma Dash a 27 turn motor? I'd be afraid to run that one even
w/24 FET's .

NO USE PLASMA AH!!! Dangerous!!!
27 Turn us use diff wounding skill... As I say before. Same SWG and same turn but diff wounding type will have diff character...
My wounding method is improve the torque and less rotor weight. So it can provide high speed and high torque.
And I also have do something in the magnetic...

how exactly do i torque my hand wind motor? having the hand wind method from in - out crunched in together? on all layers right? i have ways of improving my stock mini z motors, to maybe 45 turns on 30 swg. i have yet to try any lower than 28, 27, 26 swg. ive tried swg 24, burns the motor fast at 10x2 fet going 14 turns. i had a 12x2 pcb that i have to restore due to stacks not up enymore

those arms look alot like my chaser and my NML arms!

I'm very interested in your winding techniques! do you have an e-mail address or AIM?

I have some extra 26 gauge wire, commutators, BB cans and some neo magnets. I was wondering whats a good way to make a motor with all this?

some very neat winding there I see. I was surprised to see the split stack armature in there....exactly what benefits are there by splitting the stacks the way you have....i assume you used washers? Or did that armature come like that. I assume it is to reduce the weight so higher RPMs can be attained, but that's a guess

it's good that somebody is finally sharing their winding knowledge! :D

Winding info has been shared before. It might hard to find amongst this MegaForum and sifting through all of the
"What car should I buy?" and...
"What's an O-plate?" and...
"Boo-Hoo, I keep spinning out" and...
"waahh. NML, make me a motor." and...
"Stop picking on me." and...
"I thought I could have a porno avatar." and...
"Hey, you're cheating with your photo entry." and...
"I use earplugs for dampers" and...
"My car is now 95 percent faster! Buy my special light weight antenna!" and...

you get the idea;)
'can't get mad, I used Mr. Winky.
