Perhaps I'm overlooking something obvious, but what scale, exactly, are these overland vehicles?

same as a miniz racer. I think. They should be.

Well after looking at the photos and comparing them, none side by side, i will have to say that they are NOT the same scale as our Mini-Z Racers... infact I think they are not even 1/24... I think they are more like 1/22 or 1/20... I am almost tempted to cancel my group buy now that I think this.. I kida hope im wrong though.

I mean the pajero is a small truck with a SHORT wheel base.. yet its longer then all of the other Mini-Z wheelbases.. the tires are bigger its wider.. etc...

Why cant toy/model companies STICK TO one friggin scale!?

That's why I asked. If they're 1:24, then I'd be very interested indeed, but from the few pics I've seen, they seem smaller....:(

Draconious

They are DEFINATLY not smaller, they are BIGGER... 1:20 is bigger then 1:24 like 1:2 is realy big ;) and 1:10000 is realy small.

They are either wrong, or they are not correct. LOL

...or both!

I'm living in Toronto and just got my overland today!

I know this URL will be blocked soon, anyway, just want to share this info with others. [edited by Mini-Z: indeed it will, since all of your posts in all of the time you've been a member here have been promoting that site ]

Well, then you can tell us for sure.
What scale is it?
It's 2 wheel drive, yeah?
Do you like it?
Can I have it? :D

Miniken

It's 1/28. But the body is a bit shorter than a normal mini Z racer. It's 2-wheel drive, NOT 4-wheel. but the torque is higher than the normal Mini Z, it can be run on slope. so cool.

Yup, happy with it. I got the white one, #201.

Ken.

Has anyone ever done a wheelbase comparison for the actual scale?
Here's two...
- S2000: 2400mm wheelbase; 90mm Z-wheelbase; 26.6th scale.
- BMW Z8: 2504mm wheelbase; 94mm Zwheelbase; 26.6th scale.

The Pajero works out to be 28th or 29th scale.

Then what is the REAL world pejaro wheel base? the Overland shortest setting is 95mm... then there is 100 105 and 110
5mm increments instead of 4mm like the Z, and 4 settings instead of 3 like the Z...

AUDI is 2428mm @ 90mm = 26.9777

WRX is 2515mm @ 94mm = 26.755

pajero about: 2780 (they have 2 diff lengths, ill asume this is the short one) @ will asume it uses the 2nd shortest setting on the OL for 100mm = 27.8... sometings not right, oh well will find out when we all have one ;). it looks like its bigger though...

27.8th scale sounds about right. The sucky part is that it's right in between 25th and 32nd scale. Although 32nd scale will give that MT look if that's what you want.

Mathematically, it's says the Overland is a smaller sale.
Seeing them side by side also says it's a smaller scale.

my wife got mine from rl0725 on ebay. it took about a week i guess. didn't seem long at all. it's all wraped up and waiting for me, so i can't tell you how well it survived shipping. no complaints from my wife so must have been good.
i hope some of the parts start poping up soon.

so what exactly is an overland? i missed out on this info. is it like an offroad mini-z? or do they run on carpet-like tracks only?

The real car actually has a wheelbase of 2570mm (see car #201):
http://www.mitsubishi-motors.co.jp/motorsports/02dakar_e/car.html
If the wheelbase of the Overland is 100mm, then the scale is 1:25.7 - slightly bigger than the racers.

The formula 1 car is much bigger than the Pajero.

I think the Formula 1 is 1/24 and the Pajero is 1/28
