Just an example of how nice the paint job on the Overland Pajero is. It looks almost exactly like the real one.

What are those behind the wheels? Mudflaps? If so, why? Don't want to get dirty?

You may laugh about the mudflaps but when companies are paying tens of thousands of dollars for a couple of sqr cms of advertising, they wouldn't be too happy if their logo is hidden behind a layer of mud for the whole event would they?

It's also to cut down the amount of dust thrown into the air.

In another thread, someone asked, "why save the body?".

I think the original body is worth saving just because the paint scheme is so accurate. I am still looking for pictures of the #200 Red Pajero.

There is no reason to call yourself stupid just because that is not the correct Pajero.

Though it is the wrong truck, at least it is a red one.

anyone find pictures of the land cruiser rally truck? i don't follow the rally series, any other cool rally trucks?

You know the Paris-Dakar rally is going on right now! It is being televised on Speed Channel if you get cable. 7:30pm Eastern time.

There is some great footage of all of the trucks including the Toyotas and the redesigned Pajero for 2003. The new Pajero kind of has a hatch-back look.

I did not realize it but the white Pajero #201 Overland was the WINNER of last years Paris-Daker rally!
