I let a co-worker play with my overland and of course they broke it. They managed to strip the gear that the pinion touches. Heres a pic. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone have any idea where I could get a replacement? Thanks.

Yikes!
The infamous Hong Kong stores will have parts after the first of the year.
What was your co-worker doing when it busted?

I'm not sure. I think he was doing wheelies. I have an x-speed motor. It adds some more stress to those plastic gears. An Alloy gear upgrade could be essential with better motors. An awesome little truck though....I'm pissed.
Damn I would be pissed to those little trucks are really fun. a friend got one recently and I got to drive it around a bit...I loved it! to bad about the gear though

There is no gease in there. I tried to fix the gear with super glue. It sort of works but I don't want to damage anything else. So I have to wait.

Since my overland in out for now, I just put the body on my NSX chasis. A perfect fit. Looks cool too.

Oh, I was gonna say.........
The gearbox hangs too low on the Overland for tires that small. I was gonna say that may be why your diff is busted:D

Kyosho has the dangdest luck with gears, this apears to be the weak spot of the Overland... guess it wont be long till 60$ alloy gears start apearing on ebay and HK shops ;) with a GPM logo on them hehehe....

That sucks..
You guys ever boiled your gears? Iv heard of hornet micro rc heli pilots who did this to make them a bit more flexable. I was thinking bout getting the X-speed. Guess I will need the alum spur upgrade as well if I do. Think it will cost 60 Drac?

One of the first things that I did was to purchase a titanium gear because of all of the horror stories around here about stripped gears...
