Are those steel or alum gears I see on the lower left on the first pic?

I want the hop-up motor, tough gears (for wheelies) , shocks & bearings..

overland hop ups are scattered all over eBay now

everything from chrome rims, tie-rods, bearings, etc...but still no oil shocks!!!

There is even a *pinion gear set* that looks like it holds more than pinion gears, maybe the famous gear that people keep stripping?

Any one know details about the pinions gears on ebay? You cant see very well whats in the bag.. Are they stock replacements? or a upgrade? What sizes?

Thanks

Stock replacements MV10, according to the parts explosion in the manual; the pinion gears, pinion tool, both bushings sizes and idler gear are included.

if you look at the last fold out page of your instruction manual parts MV10 are the pinion set and yes it includes the infamous breaking gear.

Thanks for the info guys.. Im busy doin the brakes on my wifes car.. fun!!! not

After driving for a few days I really want the fast Z motor.

Which Z motor has good rpm, but still allot of torque??????????

i would go with the a-bb motor from the mzr. of course this is a biased opinion as i have one and no other upgrade motors but from reading the posts, i chose the a-bb motor of any others. when high grade gears for the overland come out, i might get one for that as well.

Does the MV10 kit include the problem gear thats been breaking or stripping? If I had a spare gear kit , (stock or upgrade) I wouldnt have a problem risking running the faster a-bb motor cuz Id have the gears to replace it when it did break..

Thanks

the a-bb is a great motor, but get some neo magnets from drac if you want some serious torque for the a-bb. (i swear, my membership here is like a continuous commercial....:p )

I thought about buying those magnets from drac, but how do you re-install a end bell w/o removable brushes? The brushes would never sit where they were intended to be after the reinstallation.

GiantScale...remove the brushes from the end bell...they are slotted into a plastic bit that slots onto the endbell..use a small flat head screwdriver to pry the two pieces apart..position the brushes on the comm, with the tiny groove on the plastic bit sorta lined up with the can...you'll see...then keeping it all lined up, gently push the endbell over the motor, ensuring the peg enters the hole in the brushes' plastic bit.....once the endbell is completely in, spin the rotor to ensure there are no grating sounds, as this may indicate the brushes are not square on the comm. If all sounds normal...push the metal tabs over the endbell..and test with a single AAA...all SHOULD be good ;):)
