Does the ball diff remove the ability to use the diff locking plate?

The mini-z racer ball diff will not work in the overland. As the spur gear is too big. As for the diff lock plat I am not shure. But you could set the ball diff tighter for a posi effect. yet loose enough to not strip the gears. I hope this helps.

What I meant was that you can set the diff a little loose. And it will act like a slipper clutch.

The Diff lock does not work. It fits just like the stock diff.
If anyone has been successful in adjusting this diff please give up the how to's!!
Mine acts like it's still in stock mode. Turns tighter to the right than the left. Feels smooth and does not slip. Shims were used on both sides and there is about a shims worth of play from side to side. Bearings have been installed.
