Ball-Diff's are a much better choice than the planetary gear units that Mini-Zs of all types ship with.
I have genuine Kyosho ball diffs on all my Mini-Z Racers and F1s, I swear by them. They are good quality items that ship with spare circlips (C-Clips), grub screws (hex screws) and O-Rings.
As for aftermarket (non-Kyosho manufactured) ball-diffs, GPM seems to be the best choice.
Being a Member of these Forums for well over a year, I know many Members (including Russ and Herman) are extremely happy with their GPM ball-diffs they use on their Mini-Z Racers. So, I guess GPM are the best of the rest.
I have just bought a GPM ball-diff for my Overland (which is still on it's way to me from the Mini-ZRacer.com Shop)
The GPM ball-diff is reasonably priced at $33.00 with shipping and it's the only ball-diff currently available for the new Overland.
When Kyosho make their ball-diff for the Overland availible, I'll buy one if [in the rare case that] I'm not satisfied with the GPM unit.

its smaller than most diffs out there for the mini-z i noticed, same amount of teeth. the diff seems to be alot more smoother than my dad's mzr.com deluxe diff, i reccommend it highly for anyone.
