View Full Version : Does any one know any thing about Mini Z Work shop?
Has any one heard about Mini Z workshop in Hong Kong and has any one done any business with them? They build custom motors for mini z’s. They told me they could build me a motor for my mini z for $14 includes shipping. That is with a 45 turns SWG31 rotor
Stock magnet (a bit stronger than the one with X-Speed.) Bearing motor can. I do not have FET or Turbo and they said this would work with out them. Please give me your input.
Here is there web address

Sorry ... no experience with them. However, you might want to speak with the guys at the shop here about motors.
If for some reason you need some high-performance parts (incl. motors) from HK, give these guys a try http://www.chaserrc.com/
Ask for Chris ... He'll be happy to help you.
Did you check out there web site? I want a motor faster then a X speed but one I do not need a turbo or FET change. Like I said they can build me one for $14 includes shipping. Can I get one faster then the X speed some where else this cheap that does not need a turbo of FET change? For a total of $14 I am thinking about taking a chance.
THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT! :)

see if they'll send you just the armature, and then buy a Squat BB can from the mini-zracer.com store. the can you're talkin about is crap, and the Sqaut can is very, very worth the money.
This comes with a bearing can, hand wound armature, brushes, capacitors and broke in for just $14 INCLUDES SHIPPING. Have you checked out the web site I am talking about? The last time I check the 130-A-BB from the shop here was all most $30. Like I said for $14 I might take a chance. I do appreciate the input THANKS FOLKS! I live in the US.

Urm...no it wasn't. It's $18.99, and it'll beat the pants off any other non-turbo motor!
Thanks for setting me straight on the price of 130-A-BB motor. But I do not see them in the shop so I am guessing they are out of stock. Just got done ordering one of the motors that I started these thread on. That is with a 45 turns SWG31 rotor hand wound
Stock magnet (a bit stronger than the one with X-Speed.) Bearing motor can, brushes, capacitors, wired, and broke in for $14 includes shipping. Guess I will find out how good it is and when I do will post on this forum. Whenever they get the 130-a-BB motor back in stock I will get one and then I will compare the two.
Thanks Folks For All The Input.

Receive my motor today for Mini Z workshop. The one I talk about above. It seems to be a good bit faster then my X speed. I do not have any way to clock it. It comes ready to run no having to install wires. Just hook up like you do a stock or X speed motor. Does seem that the motor gets hotter and so do the batteries. I am thinking about a small FET up grade 4 or 8 as I have been told this cuts down on the heat and makes it faster. Yes for $14 dollars including shipping I would recommend this motor to all. I received it with in a week after it was shipped, as it has to come from HK. Took about a week and one half from the day I ordered it. They take Pay Pal and that is how I paid. He will make a much hotter motor for $18 includes shipping but this one has to have a FET or turbo up grade.
Specifications on my new motor are.
45 turn hand wound SWG31 armature
Black magnets
Ball Bearing motor can
Wired capacitors and broke in
