Just received a TOP alloy motor mount and it is so close to the ground when installed if you run over ANYTHIG it drags. Does any one make one that will give me more clearance, something close to stock? Put my stock one back on. Please give me your input. Thanks:o

i had the same experience. i bought a powerline deluxe motor pod and bottomed out a few times. took it right off and reinstalled my sock motor pod.
anyone want to trade a gpm alloy high mount motor pod for my powerline deluxe motor pod?

Doesn’t the high motor mount make the car more top heavy and affected the handling? That is what I think I read some where in this forum?
Thanks

yeah, but i don't race competitivly. i have an altezza and cooper mini body. both are long wheelbases but the mini cooper will only fit the high mount motor pod, suck but i like the mini cooper and i am trying to get the maximum versatility or usefulness out of my z by being able to change bodies without retooling the chassis parts. i am curious if the new gpm alloy high mount motor pod has the same crappy ground clearance. if so, i will just move my stock pod back to the high position. there are things you can do to compensate for the handling of the high mount pod. it just takes more tooling around.

i swear i thought i was going to rip the rear end off my z with my powerline pod when i hit a crack in the pavement that i normally cruise over.

Sorry I did not know this is in the wrong place. I have only been on this forum for a little over a week and this is my first forum. I never claim to be perfect! I guess some people think they are! Thanks arch2b for being one of the ones that knows that people are not perfect.

sorry, i misread a post and edited my earlier post. i think they were refering to it getting off topic, in which case few don't but i'm not going to argue, no big deal. just want to stay happy.
