i got tired of the antenna getting caught on things including my rc box so i made a funtional whip antenna similar to wrcracer's and draconious's idea (thanks for the idea).
i figured it would be easier to make a long one, bending through the body rather than having a detachable connection. alright, i was to lazy to work that out. anyway i insulated it and tested it. it works great. i couldn't test the range due to the freezing weather and me not wanting to stand out in the freezing wind. i'll try that on a warmer day and let you guys know.

i put some pictures in my album, i'll put some here.

Yep thats what I was talkin about! :)

Hey you still got one fog light left, better break that off... ;) so far every overland Ive seen has broken them off ;) they need tomake small parts like that on the Z rubber.. or someting.

what kind of wire did you use? i think that will be my first mod.

got my pajero this week. oh man, is it fun! already got it dirty, broke one fog light off too. having a blast. my friend got the other pajero and broke the steering knuckle within 5 mins! did a good fix-up with super glue, though. i think we'll be ordering alloy knuckles as back-ups, though.

i would use .032" or .025" music/piano wire. it can usually be found anywhere you buy k&s metal stock.

made a whip antenna. looks much cooler now. i got wire that's a little heavier than i needed though, so i think i'll get some narrower stuff and make another one.

one question, arch2b: what did you use on top as an antenna clip? i just made a little wire loop but i'd like to find something cooler looking.

brush guard next--i keep slamming into things
