i'm going for silver my self. on a side note do thes tie rods slow the steering down significantly, as i have heard that the alloy servo gears slow the steering down.

I've been watching this Thread with interest and I ask these questions:
Does it realy matter what colour the tie-rods are?
Has anyone stripped the Overland's servo gears yet?
As for the "idler gear" that sits between the pinion and spur, I agree that if it prone to breaking, an alloy option should be investigated.
Once someone has posted a pic, I'll decide if it's worth buying, seeing as I've allready ordered two sets of the Kyosho gear sets from the 'Bay

i think the servos would be hard to strip maybe break if you slam inot somthing without the shell on. as far as color i am just soing it for looks. i have an overland for beating around and experiments. and one for show with clear cases, colored screw sets , aluminum rims, and silver gpm parts on the way. it looks very pretty.

No, it doesn't TECHNICALLY matter what color they are. I was joking.
No, I think it would be nearly impossible to strip the servo gears on an Overland since they have a built-in servo saver (a la Mini-Z F1).
The idler gear by GPM is made from Delrin, which should be sufficient for most people. Certainly better than the standard material. Since the standard gear set cost $10 and the Delrin idler gear costs $10, why not give it a shot?
EDIT: I just stripped my first gear  It happened while doing wheelies with the diff locking plate installed. If you look at the Delrin gear, the small side of it is actually alloy. The rest of the gear is Delrin.

OKANG,
Please enter that in the broken parts Poll.
When you say the idler gear is partly alloy and the balance is Delrin, is this the standard or GPM unit you are referring to?
Thanks

I am referring to the "GPM Delrin Main Gear 10-34T" option part. The stock gear is 100% crappy plastic.

OKANG,
I just ordered myself a set.
They didn't have any on the 'Bay when I in initially ordered the two sets of Kyosho parts.
Anyway, those kind of parts are the things you can never have enough of :p

$10?! Where are you shopping?! It's only $8.49 at the Shop:

If you paid $9.99 on eBay, that's 18% higher than our price, and shopping from us it's only 2-3 days to your door. :)
