Yup, they are expensive for sure. Probably cost me around 700 bucks between everything I needed to get to finish it. 4 channel radio, paint, bearings, etc. You gotta really want one of these. The bruiser re-release is even more ridiculous. 900 bucks just for the kit. No thanks. I think Z's are expensive too for the size, but nothing like a 3 speed.

It's all good. I didn't even know these messages existed for the first few years I was a member, lol. I'm familiar with the Tamiya Hilux. i like those, but can;t justify shelling out that kind of doe I have a few Losi micros, scale and comp style. I'm glad you are getting back into Zs

Sorry! Didn't even see a message. It is a Tamiya Hilux High Lift. It is 1/10 scale. I have since put on CR-01 beadlock wheels and slightly larger tires. It has a 3 speed manual transmission shiftable on the fly from the radio (4 channel stick, put a shift gate on it). It's not fast even in third gear, more of a scale/trail truck. I should probably update that avatar, but I'm just getting back into Mini-Z after a 5 year hiatus.

I love your avatar pic. What scale is that?
