Track Building Tips
I'm pondering on building a track in my basement. I'm not much of a carpenter or builder, so I'm hoping someone will have a few suggestions to make this as painless as possible. I would like to have some elevation changes as opposed to the entire track being one flat surface. Anyone have any ideas on how to do this? Also, should I start with a solid base, like plywood, or is there a better (more compact) way? I would like to be able to move the thing, so if it doesn't weigh 300lbs that would be a plus! Maybe I'm dreaming. Your suggestions are appreciated!

first off ozite is best but tarr paper looks like pavement hooks up good and is much cheaper than ozite
for bariers pvc pipe is good but i herd just plain masking tape will work when you hit it you will just spin out if you are looking for a challenge try adding sections of linolium here and there its wicked hard to transfer from one surface to another |
