if you haven't seen it, i suggest looking at this thread first ----> mini-z in taiwan
1/7 7mm mini-z track in taichung taiwan 7MM 遙控模型玩具室內車場 地址:台中市西屯區重慶路99號3樓之二(青海路口) Taichung tel no 0958097035 business hours: wed/fri 6:30-10:30pm / 3:30 – 10:30pm 7mm was quite near to where I stayed in taichung, probably a 10 min walk away, but since it was late and trying to save time, i took a cab.... From the information that ilove599xx (a fellow member on these forums) gave, along with the reference pictures I saw on the internet care of their f_ _ e b_ _ k page (first word rhymes with mace, second hook)... the track was pretty easy to find as there was a sign outside the building. a friend came along with me to the track... it was pretty handy that he spoke a little chinese (mandarin in particular) and it was a good thing too since my mandarin was quite limited to hello, thank you, and goodbye... upon reaching the third floor, you could tell where the track was... http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...%20track/3.jpg http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...%20track/4.jpg |

my friend an i went in. and we were met by shao chong, who was in charge... he said that the owners left word that i would be dropping by... since language was such a barrier, i just took as many pictures as i could... the actual track surface is carpet and the layout was challenging... http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s.../track%201.jpg http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s.../track%202.jpg http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s.../track%203.jpg http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s.../track%204.jpg http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s.../track%205.jpg |

the place was pretty much stocked with atomic parts... http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s.../parts%202.jpg http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s.../parts%203.jpg http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...parts%2011.jpg http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...parts%2012.jpg |

and a lot of autoscale bodies... half of which (bottom half) weren't for sale, as they belonged to the owner .... (i saw two original teile mercedes benz's)... http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s.../parts%201.jpg i also saw some dnano parts... and dnano autoscale bodies... most of which... were the owners collection and not for sale as well.... hahaha... http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s.../parts%204.jpg |

after taking some pictures and looking at some parts, i decided to purchase some stuff... my friend prodded me on and asked if i wanted to try out their track since i purchased some stuff... i said ok... so he turned to shao chong and asked in mandarin if I could try one of their cars for a couple of minutes... luckily one of the guys at the track relented, and lent me his car to test... it was an atomic chassis with a sc430 body... i couldn't really tell if it was a 4wd or a 2wd... but after looking at the pictures... it looked like a 4wd... the white and blue sc430 bottom left, being prepped up... for... me... http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...rack/pitf1.jpg http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...rack/pitf2.jpg |

it was the first time i got to drive the atomic chassis, and everything felt smooth... except for my driving... which was pretty rusty... hahaha... it eventually got a little smoother after a couple of laps... and just like that it was time to go... not without purchasing a couple of autoscale bodies... 2 dnano batteries, and a d nano x-speed motor... (wish i bought some dnano tires as well)... sigh... here are some other pics of the place... http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...rack/pitd2.jpg one guy trying out the new honda http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...k/pit%2011.jpg http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...k/pit%2010.jpg http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...rack/pite2.jpg http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...rack/pitc1.jpg http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...rack/pitd1.jpg http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...rack/pite1.jpg http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...ck/pitb2_1.jpg http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...ack/pitab1.jpg |

HOLY CRAP!!! Keep my Visa FFFAAAARRRR away from that place lol. That is Mini-Z heaven, just look at the inventory in that place.
I could only dream about that over here in North America (let alone Canada), just not a big enough scene to warrant that kinda stock (unless a lottery winner takes an interest in MiniZ lol). Thanks for the pics, love the pit stations. |
actually for me, this is r/c heaven ----> click me (been fortunate enough to go there several times through the years)
they've got r/c shops located pretty close together so if you're looking for anything, you're most likely to find it... as for tracks... there are a couple over there as well.. this is the latest one i've been to (way back in 2014) ----> click here to go to rcpkhk |
