Chassis mount and new photos.

Hi Guys,
Finally getting around to posting improved pics of the FD's CRX and 911. they have been on my web site for a while though. New improved custom mount. Tupperware top plate with side pods and stick on velcro. Velcro stuck to inside doors. This time the tupperware was cut like a pod design I had previously. I just havn't added the extra holes for width adjust ment. I made the pod mounting holes in a position where all bodies fit I just padded the wider bodies a couple of milimeters with double sided tape this time. I also didn't have to drill holes in the chassis like last time. I just use the three top holes in the chassis. May change if you want to make one when using a damper. It is much stronger this time around. Russ. |

Very neat idea, especially for customs and LEXAN shells.
Is it raceable? You're not really cutting up tupperware are you? :D |
Who makes that FD?

mount
Its pretty strong.
The Tupperware is strong yet fexible. Strong enough for my H plate too but this gets a bit bouncy. As far as the mount itself goes. Should be good for race but I would add a front bumper of some description. I screwed the porsche running into the gutter. OOps.:( FDs are Fujimi. Tamiya FD's won't really work cause the front spoiler is on the chassis not the body. Russ ps. I think this one was actually DECOR not TUPPERWARE. :D |
Rextreme, great mounting system!
