HFAY Season 28

HFAY Season 28

I know this is a bit early but we will be jumping back into HFAY with S28 and eager to see what that season is going to look like with regard to tracks. We have not test fitted the space yet but should be able to handle all HFAY tracks.

Seoz was able to fit all of season 27 tracks, some were a bit tight but they fit. We should be able to fit any hfay track also.

Tri Cities did not have trouble fitting any tracks, although we might if they were much bigger than Season 27. It would really help us out as well to get started on this. We will not be able to race in July, so I am hoping we can get the tracks sorted out early so we can run races 1 and 2 in June.

I'm guessing a new set of rules for Season 28 will be coming out sometimes soon, but I am wondering about weight limit specifically, as I don't recall seeing a minimum weight limit in the older versions of the rules.

I’m fairly certain season 23 rules had a min. Weight requirement of 170-175G.

Read through the PDF of Season23, and still don't see any minimum weight limit info. It should be somewhere on Page5 or Page6 of the Vehicle Tech Regulations. Maybe it's missing on my PDF version???? I have my car set at abt 173g currently, but just wanted to verify. Thx

you are right it's not in there. Must have got overlooked in the revision. It'll be back in for the next season. 170grams is the minumum weight.

as for the tracks for the upcoming season. Salt Lake Mini-Z can only fit the tracks that fit within 8 tiles wide x 12 tiles long. We can fit the following tracks in our space.. 1,2,3,4,6,12,13,14,15,16,18

Sounds good Brian, thx for the info.

After looking over the available tracks, our vote in Tri-Cities is:

2, 13, 14, 15, and 18.

3,6,14,16,18
That is my vote for season 28 track list.

We should be able to fit any of the HFAY layouts in our space. No huge preference on any of the tracks, so ok with anything that gets chosen.

Not many votes cast yet Here are the results so far, remember votes are due by the end of May, however, I am wondering if it might be just as good and a lot simpler to just put all the SLC- friendly tracks into a hat and draw 5 in race order.

3 votes: track 18 (we must all like the high speed sweeper)
2 votes: track 15
2 votes: track 14
2 votes: track 13
2 votes: track 6
2 votes: track 2
1 vote: track 16
1 vote: track 3
