gpm steering parts problem

After my knuckles broke I bought some GPM alloy knuckles along with a steering plate and steering assembly. The knuckles fit fine but the steering assembly was the biggest pain to put together...

OL gpm alloy parts installation.. is it difficult?

i was going through Arch2b's gallery and he mentioned that the alloy parts are a pain to install. Do the pieces not fit properly? how is the quality on the parts?

they're from motorised non-r/c 1/32 scale model of a blackfoot from tamiya. I switched back to the regular wheels, I was afraid that I might crash into something and break the steering.

I put this together earlier today. Glued some big wheels onto regular wheels :o
I haven't built a lift for the body yet so thats why its nekkid. Also need to get warns shocks or build some...

awww crap.. the shaft for the knuckle stripped out the knuckle and now it turns freely so i can't loosen the nut. damit i hope the super glue holds up. Maybe i'll get those gpm alloy knuckles..

ok i found it.. and i think it was a combination of a few things. the pinion gear was found to be a bit too tightly installed onto the motor. One of the wheels nuts on the wheel was just a bit tight...

Too slow

I don't know why my OL is so slow... I just bought a new one and its slower than my first OL which is stock. I installed a high performance BB motor, gpm wide wheels with tires. Batteries are good....

alloy chassis?

I'm wondering if GPM will ever make a alloy chassis for the overland. I don't know if it'll be practical at all but it'll be cool to have an all alloy overland.

painting bodies

whats the best way to paint bodies without getting a painting booth? I've been practicing but i can't just get it right. I try sweeping method from about 8-9" but it comes out not completely smooth...

this happened to me too after some serious...

this happened to me too after some serious bashing. I used some JB weld (2 part steel epoxy resin and hardener) on and around it and ground it down with a dremel. good as new!

I really beat the crap out of my mini-z and it still runs as good as new. I think kyosho did a pretty good job with it.
