Mike tells me that he will have the track set up this Saturday 1/5/08. Probably will have the track up around 11 am or noon. Bring your Mini-Z or Micro-T and have some fun.

Mike dug out the track and let a couple of us racers start cleaning it this week. I cannot give any details on the schedule. There is still a lot of work to do at the shop.

RFID Tags

The core tags are actually RFID tags. If you know a good industrial electrical distributor, you should be able to order some. If there is still an interest, I can check with my local distributor.

The first upgrade for a MA-010 should be aluminum...

The first upgrade for a MA-010 should be aluminum pinion gears. Then work towards handling and efficiency. Tires, bearings, springs.....then go wild with whatever other upgrades you want.

Installed a 21 tooth PN aluminium pinion. Ran the car through two sets of batteries and did not have any problems with gear mesh or the gear coming loose.

I am told the Mini 96 tiles are 30 cm and the Wide L and Wide Oval tiles are 50 cm. Even with the expansion kit the Mini 96 lanes are not as wide as the Wide L.
