Okay guys here we are again with the Myrtle Beach GP. Last year it was a success with two extra long mains. This year we are going to change it up a bit, in hopes to make it even more exciting!

The main event will consist of two classes being run simultaneously on the track. There will be a GT class, following Carolina Cup GT2 rules. The only difference is instead of a Cup motor for hand-out, we will be handing out sealed PN50T motors. The second class will be Can Am 1, allowing LM and Pan cars to be run with pretty much unlimited mods and power to try and be as fast as possible! The format will consist of the two 20 minute hot lap qualifying sessions, an hour long B-Main, and a 2 hour long A-Main. The two classes will qualify separately, but will race the mains on the track together.

There will also be two sprint races of different classes to add some interest to the day. We will run an F1 main, which will be an open motor F1 class (same rules as Carolina Cup F1) with hot lap qualifying (length of session based on participation) and a 30 minute main with every one on track together. The other sprint race will be a 90mm class with very liberal rules. Basically you have to run an 86 or 90 mm body at 90mm or less. Anything else goes. There are no limitations on mods or power. Format will be the same as F1 with qualifying length based on participation, and a 30 minute main with every one running together.

RULES

Basic Penalties:
Rough driving infractions (aggressive overtaking, aggressive blocking, avoidable contact) – 2 minute penalty
Pit infractions (speeding on pit lane, causing accident on pit lane, working on car away from pit station) – 3 minute penalty
Equipment infractions (replacing body, replacing chassis) – 15 minute penalty
Impound volation (not having the car in the impound during designated times) - 10 Minute Penalty
All penalties will be served with the car stationary, located in the pit box. If the car is moved during penalty time, the penalty time will restart.

Equipment Rules:
You must finish the race with the body, and chassis you start Qualifying with.
You must start the race the same way you finish qualifying.
There will be an impound and all the cars will be collected after Qualifying

Procedural Guidelines:

Pit Lane: There will be two pit lanes. You must rejoin racing from the same pit lane you exited the track from.
You can not leave or join the driver's stand, unless your car is located in the pit lane.
Pit Stops: Batteries may be changed at dedicated battery changing stations.
Any other work or maintenance to the car (tire/bearing changes, suspension/diff adjustments, etc.) must take place at pit station.
No work is to be done in the racetrack area.
Once qualfying begins, no one else can touch your car or your equipment. You must do everything yourself including charging batteries, mounting tires, rebuilding diffs, etc.
Courteous Driving: It is the overtaking car’s responsibility to find a clean line past the other car.
It is the overtaken car’s responsibility to concede the corner or the line, once the passing line is taken (no blocking).
We have many laps to race – it is to everyone’s advantage to have as little contact between cars as possible.
Track officials reserve the right to distinguish between courteous driving and rough driving. Warnings and penalties will be issued at officials’ discretion.
