Although they were made for the 50cm rails, you can still use them for the Mini-96. I will post pictures of the covers used on the 50cm and 30cm track rails.

There are two uses for the rail cover.

#1 - To protect the rail from damage when cars and trucks impact them. Over time the rails get beat up, especially the tracks used daily or weekly. With the rail cover, you will never have to replace a rail from damage.

#2 - Helps to allow the car to glance off the rail as opposed to hitting it and stopping the car. If cars hit the rail cover at an angle, they will usually glance off and allow the car to maintain its speed. The rail cover is made from very soft plastic and also helps to protect the body of the mini-z, by giving a little when cars impact. It also appears to be non-marring and won't scuff the plastic mini-z bodies.
