mini-z in taiwan

i got to visit taiwan a couple of weeks back... and well taiwan is a pretty cool place... lots of good food, nice places to see and in case you didn't know... mini-z...

prior to my trip i sent a pm to ilove599xx (one of the members on the forums, who happens to live in taipei) and he gave me some information about two tracks... MRC and 7mm...

i was traveling with a group that had taipei-taichung-taipei on the itinerary... and as luck would have it... MRC was in taipei... and 7mm was in taichung... and i fortunately squeezed in some time to visit these two tracks...

a trip to taiwan will usually see you ending up in taipei - which is approximately an hour from the taoyuan international airport... taichung on the other hand is further down south... by taking a hsr (high speed rail) train from taipei, you will get there in about 50 minutes...

it was great having been able to squeeze in a trip to the two tracks into my schedule... since the language was a barrier for me, the only thing that i missed was having the ability to interact with the track owners and ask some questions... however this did not diminish the excitement that i had while visiting these two places...

so if you wish to do some talking... extensively and at length, it would help to have an interpreter if you plan on visiting any of these two tracks,... or have a translator app on your phone (preferably one that doesn't need a wifi / internet connection)... or if you're lucky enough, somebody at the track might be able to speak some english... both tracks do have computers that run the lapcounters, so probably with some prodding you might be able to get to communicate with google translate.

lastly i would like to thank ilove599xxx for giving me the information to these tracks... and giving me a ride to mrc too... if it wasn't for him, i wouldn't probably know where these tracks were... once again xie xie ni!

p.s.
just a couple of days ago ilove599xxx sent word that another track is coming up in taipei...

@lfisminiz - yes both tracks look pretty good

@solo1 - yes they are carpet. Side rails are some type of foam screwed to the track. This would allow you to infinitely re-arrange the track layout...
