Swap pcb mr02lm > ma010?

Is it possible to fit a mr02LM board in my ma010?

*Edit*

After help from the people in this forum I came it down to this...

If you want to fit a Mr02lm board onto a Ma-010/015 you need to do the following:

*replace/extend battery wires.
*Extend 1 servo motor wire.
*Extend on/off-switch wires
*Reverse polarity on the servo motor

yep....no mods needed other than figuring out the power leads to the battery tray.

Sweet, thx for the quick response!

Does anyone know of a list that explains the difference between different boards?

no, i'm not aware of any indexed list that explains the differences in the boards. it took me long enough to just to index all the boards.

Switched boards tonight, so that the mr02lm board was mounted in the ma010.

Had to solder new battery connections as you mentioned, and replace 2 wires since they were a just a bit too short.

But the problem now is the steering, as soon as the board is powered on, it goes full left or right depending on the centering before powering on.
The steering is unresponsive, and the servo motor hot.

This only occurs in the servo assembly for the ma010, but the steering works just fine in the mr02lm servo assembly.

Tried to switch potentiometer and servo motor, it´s like the mr010 servo is geared to low and the board can't find the center position.

Can get the steering to respond if I manually turn the potentiometer.

Any ideas?

I has a similar problem when I tried swapping MR03VE electronics into a brushed MA020 a few years ago. Steering was all messed up... from what I recall, the MR03 electronics were "too sensitive" for the AWD and I had to dial the TX steering EPAs back to just 15-20% as not to bottom the servo out at the left/right extremes. I also remember having centering problems.

Try reversing just the servo motor and not the potentiometer.

Awesome! Problem solved by reversing the servo motor connections. Thank you!
