1999 peugot 206 wrc
hi all, just finished detailing my peugot... it wasn't easy... got decals from tamiya 1/24 scale which is a bit big... had to cut some decals just to make them fit... anyway enjoy...
p.s. original peugot should be white... (the logo's of the lion are supposed to be blue, but with the yellow body they look darker, almost black)

so what are the best wheels that matches the body? unfortunately can't run the body with clk rims, i think the black 5 star is ok, but the evo white looks better for this type of car...

You could paint the whole body in a clear lacquer to seal the decals on and make it a bit more hard wearing.

Hi Herman,
Go ahead, run it! The grief from seeing the scratches lasts only a few seconds. The scratches also give the car character (pathetic consolation).
Hey, if we don't win the race, at least we look gooooooood!

the body i luckily got at the track ( www.connecticutspeedway.com), there were only 3 as i recall... i got the decals at a hobby shop (luckily they sell some surplus tamiya 1/24 decals)... waited and pondered how i could put them on until i saw some japanese website that featured all three peugeot wrc specs (1999,2000, 2001)
http://www.geocities.co.jp/Playtown-Bingo/9499/
check it out it's a really cool page (in japanese though)
with a whole lot of patience and by looking at other pictures on the net and in magazines i figured out which went where. since the decals were 1/24 (a little bigger than the 1/28th scale mini-z) i had to cut some decals (with a modlers knife - some call it an x-acto knife, not too sure about the spelling though) in order for them to fit... i've done another one for my friend, and it was a bit easier the second time around, it looked better too...
if you ask me i think it was more of patience than talent... cutting, planning and sticking the decals on the first car took me roughly 2 weeks (of lunch breaks that is)... the second car took me a whole day (on a weekend)... it was pretty easy since i knew where everything went... hope this helps... and if you have any more questions let me know...
