Question help!! decisions....decisions.

1st post.

At one of my LHS', I can get a mr-01 kit for around $109. It's their leftover stock and I should be able to get a discount. At another LHS, they have a new shipment of mr-02 kits for around $135.

I'm only going to get one kit and hop it up from there. Which should I get? Old or new?

I know that the 01s have alot more parts right now than the 02s, but which would I be better off with in the long run. I'll be using a JR Xr2i with it. I hope to install a FC3S body on it also, but it's not a priority.

Help me out guys. Thanks in advance!

rigdone...

welcome to the forums, and congratulations on your first post...
if i were you, i'd get the mr02... out of the box it's great, compared to the original mr01... do a search on "mr02 review" or "mr02 vs. mr01" or something similar and read on....

the mr02 has two versions the mm (mid mount) on the ferarri enzo and just recently the rm (rear mount) nsx takata/gnox... i'm under the impression that the rm version will enable you to use some of the autoscale cars... i'm still waiting to get one myself to find out... good luck...

Thanks for the quick response!

That settles it, I'll go with the 02 kit. Yeah, I've been using the search alot for the past few days. I'm still using it and using it wisely. I just wanted to become a member already, instead of being a floater.

I'm gonna pick up this kit soon. Hopefully, they still have some in stock. Then I'm gonna get some FETs installed.

Thanks again (Salamat!) !

Hey RIGDone

You won't regret pickin the O2 over the 01. I also ordered an 02 as a spare myself. Can't run my pocket knife since I'm still waiting for the other parts to arrive. hey check out Vallejo RC. they've got a make shift track you can practice on.

I have to get one now. Vallejo RC is the whole reason why I'm getting one. I went in there a few times and seen some sick setups. Some guy had their carbon chassis on the display holder. That thing is nuts! If I didn't purchase the M18 they had, I would of had a Mini Z kit right now.

Yes, I'm noypi-american. Born in the states.

Due to the fact that my LHS' are not expecting any MR-02s right now....I guess I'll be web-hopping to find the best price for the MR-02s.
