Nice! I wish I hadn't sold my x-mod. It would make a great projecy car like yours. I think you should install some mini-z drift tires and rims. That would look sweet. Did you paint the stock parts? It looks great.

I've done a solderless conversion a long time ago, but since pulled my spare board for a better use than an Xmod. Glad to see that others are venturing into this thought.
Those were my sentiments, just saying I didn't want to commit good set of electronics to something like this. Still gathering up parts to build a 2nd MA to drift.
My only suggestion: clear coat for the Lancer body XD
other than that, really nice! very clean look!
But I always thought Drifting didn't require above-stock power (which is why my 2 drifters use Stage 1 Motors specifically), so how's the drifting with the BB-Stock motor?

One question...
On a brand new xmod version EVO car, have you actually done a board swap for the miniz's ASF?
And drive it?
Believe what you actual have done... drive it!
Still not better than a miniz asf, but it goes somekind close!
Just start putting bearings, if can find ceramic on those sizes, better.
Put the 4x4 kit
Put a titanium shaft or carbon shaft
put gpm on the moving parts... (knuckles, dogbones, swing shafts)
Put a decent motor... it can be an Atomic AD, enough, dont need to be the 33turn or chilli
Put rims for the miniz tires (they are outthere, just need to know where to find them)
Put very grip tires on back, and normal grip on front
hard springs on back and medium on front
and it's a awesome RC.
Xmods are for projects. Miniz's are for racer's with limited time just to switch the normal race stuff needed.
Xmods are for 2 reasons.
-Cheap,stock, normally kids...
-Expensive to build it... but a true micro scale car with aftermarkt "story"
