you would have to try to slip the kyosho brushless motor casing over it or fab up your own putting a square peg in a round hole so to speak

We may be the only club putting brushless motors in stock pods
In the last pic you have to bore out the larger shim for the end to fit. Don't bore out too much! Notice there is a notch at the bottom. You have to file in a notch so that the motor doesn't spin inside the shim.

they seem to fit fine. they do not fit so well within the standard MM pod as the spacers are not shaped to accommodate the endbell. we'll see if we can't 3d print a solution to that problem.

My skills have grown! A 3d printed solution for spacers is easily achieved.
Now how do we make a set of spacers with a slight modification to the pod to accommodate a set screw for fine adjustment? ;-)

we tested this combination from 6-9 tooth and 8 tooth places this on par with other top drivers in the class using stock brushed. I dare say brushed was still a touch faster as a result of our typical size track layout.

it would be nice to have that level of adjustment however stock motors are not drilled and could not benefit from the feature thus making it an unfair advantage to do so for the brushless motor.
i'm sure there is a technical way to engineer the spacer to allow for shifting of the endbell position without needing to replace the entire spacer in the stock motor pod however in terms of practicality, it would seem easier to simply print a dozen spacers with slight shifts in placement. there are alloy motor pods that include adjustable endbell retainers for stock motors but these are expensive and in many cases limit compatibility with other stock parts which runs counter to the stock class program goals.

So the regular brushless board (MZ503)or the pro brushless board (MZ505) are good? I have the MR03VE Pro MM2 chassis set and my thought was when brushless was approved for stock i could fit the PN 3500 motor in it and be good to go.

yes, any kyosho board is fine. be sure to take the rest of the kit back to stock no ball diff, upgrade springs, stock suspension only
our testing was done with ASF brushless. we'll see if MHS bruhsless ups the ante any for overall speed. if so, may have to kick the pinion down to 7t for MHS. we'll see and adjust as necessary. our track sizes do a very good job of leveling the field.

As of May 17, 2018; PN PNWC 70 Turn Ball Bearing Motor (132370) is acceptable is Kyosho Stock Class.
If you have a fast stock motor, your going to run the same speed as 70T. if you have a slow 70T your going to run the same speed as a stock motor. There is variation in commercial production of the motors. Blueprinting motors has been investigated and ruled out as cost prohibitive as it would double the cost of the motor, if not more.
There are any number of variables that will make one car faster than another such as; motor selection, gear mesh, battery selection, etc. The fastest car doesn't always win the race either
The addition of 70T motor may allow us to move back to 10 minute mains which is nice as it provides a bit more time to recover should you get distracted on a bad lap. Kyosho Stock class is about consistency of driving skill vs. dominating speed. Some stock motors overheat in as much as 8 minutes which is detrimental to the driver and program.

Updated Kyosho Stock Rules for 2020!
Key points
-PN 3500KV V3 not allowed in Stock class due to manufacturer defect
-No longer brand specific BL brushless motors, any manufacturer 3500KV or less (see Kyosho exclusion below)
-Kyosho 4100KV brushless motor will be permitted based on limited testing in December of 2019.
-Optional front springs will be permitted however limited to what is provided in Kyosho Circuit Pack upgrade parts kits. This kits are perfect upgrade kits to get you started in tuning to track conditions.
-Update to acceptable Autoscales to include GL Racing Autoscales as these are not sold in readyset or chassis set format. Note, Iwaver/Firelap Autoscales were sold in these formats thus acceptable however they are likely not easy to find anymore and to include any newer releases.
