I'd like to try to get a hatch to run well, but not everybody has one, and of those that do, not all are 90mm. Megane and Suby are both 94mm.

Whatever is decided, a decision is needed sooner than later to give everyone the time they need to get their next RR series car ready! So I'm glad we've started the discussion and I hope everyone chimes in!

I would like a 90mm specific class if people want 90-94 why not call it 94 hatch it would be stupid to run a smaller wheel base if you did not have to in this case any way. Either way I'll put something together.

Thanks Arch, I remember this list from the Capital Challenge thread. I got an 08 Suby ready for that event before learning I had a conflict and couldn't go . Believe the only ones that are 90mm are the:

Lancia Delta
Ford Focus
Mini Cooper
Toyota Vitz
Honda Fit
VW Golf GTI
VW Golf R32
and we can now add the ABARTH

Moreover, these bodies are not readily available. For example, I checked Reflex's site (since they are the race sponsor) to see how many are in stock and found none. Not in ASC or whitebody. Another consideration is that to run 90mm WB, we'll need 90mm motor mounts! I have one, but doubt most of our members have a 90mm mount. Now we're talking about at least a $75 barrier to entry, which I'm pretty sure most of our members will not go for just to run six races.

So even though I love Jay and he is one of the most fun guys I know, a great idea man and a great promoter of things , he's sometimes not the most practical person.

So Jay, are you now willing to consider something that will allow more people to participate??? If not, its ok. I'm sure James will be willing to taze you until you comply.

And what the rest of the other HSH crew? No one else have anything to say? If we don't hear from you soon, I'm borrowing a Mini Cooper and putting Jay's idea into effect!

Agree or I'll Tase You!!!

I think the idea of a hatch class is great. However, there is no way that we'll get enough participation in our group due to the investment it will require . I would suggest either an F1 or a Pan Car class due to most people already owning them. An all Mosler, little McLaren, Corvette, or all Nissan class would be awesome . There's lots of cool options, we just need to make sure we're promoting participation as opposed to depleting it.

As far as motor choice, I would like more mod . This would allow more open rules with no question of anyone's integrity. And if anyone is traveling to races, they need the mod practice. We already have a stock class, let's see some speed in the others. And, hey, if you can beat a mod car running a 70T then do it. It's all cool .

Keep in mind, these are just my thoughts nothing else. Choose what you want and I'll build something to run regardless. We just need to make sure everyone else has the capability of running too . Guys that don't have the means won't stand around and watch the rest of us having fun very long before becoming discouraged.

No need to taze me, I agree 100%

James, excellent points! I would point out that not all our regulars have an F-1 car (Albert, Kyler, Lincoln, Little Josh, your bro and his bud), so that might not be the best class to promote participation. But if we do a 3 week rotation as Wade suggested, we'll be able to run F1 outside of the Reflex series.

I like the idea of another mod class for the Reflex series too, so what about mod GT class? Could be make or model specific. I'm also good with Pan mod if Wade gets my body done or you are willing to let me borrow the one I ran at CC1 again.

There was some talk about rethinking our class structure last week. I leaning towards running pan mod. Always a favorite. Their fast, ill handling, and fun. I think this class needs to be in our weekly rotation as well.

We could rotate between F1, LM and Pan continuing to run GT 70T weekly. There was also talk about going back to a 70 turn LM class. May we could that and open LM to all the bushing 70t motors. PN, Atomic, and Reflex..

Plus running Pan mod will continue to sharpen our skills for the bigger races..

What do ya think..

I like adding pan mod to the rotation but think LM should be 50T at least.

I'm open to anything. My opinion 70t racing is just closer and more competitive for everyone..

Are we Gelling?

Do I see a Pan Mod class brewing?

I'd better break in my other Speedy NM , or I might repo Pedro's

Wade, hope that Pan body won't take too long with the extra work it needs.

Jay, if you don't want to run pan mod, we'll let you run Mini Cooper Mod

Would 80T be even closer and more competitive? Or more of a test of motors (or motor builders) and batteries? I kind like having one stock and one mod class a night. Plus I don't have to keep buying hot batteries and I only need to carry an extra 25 rather than 50 bucks for motor claims.

Did anyone show up last Thursday? Was there a drawing for the $20 Reflex gift card? Who won? This radio silence is killing me!
