Once the inventory arrives, we'll be getting the pictures of the shelves up!
Flyers are being printed up. Please stop by if you are in the area. I feel it is really important to get more folks into this awesome hobby. So even if they have no previous R/C experience, send your friends the invite as well. The racing is FREE.
In my visit to the store last weekend, it is clear that the AWD mini-z with drift tires was very popular. I was thinking we should have a drift competition along with the race prizes.
Any suggestions on how we can score or judge this? One thought was setting up cones or gates on the track. Perhaps fastest lap time with a penalty for not going sideways through the zone?
Or perhaps 10 laps with scoring rings. You get higher points for drifting closer to the cones.
Reminder, FREE Kyosho Mini-z racing all day tomorrow (Sat 9th) at HobbyTown USA in Orland Park, IL.
Fastest times posted to the leaderboard.
$10 gift card prizes for each of 4 brackets.
Fastest 10 and under
Fastest 11-18
Fastest 19 and up
And my favorite. Fastest Family!
The best average from one child and one parent in the family are averaged together.
If you haven't tried racing Mini-z, you really need to check it out! We'll have a varity of cars, chassis, and motors so you can get a taste of the different performance levels.
Congrats to our winners. Please call the store and ask for Steve to redeem your $10 gift cards.
Jeff Stevens won 19+ with 33 laps @ 3:05
Chris Pearson Jr. won 10 and under with 17 laps @ 3:00
Pearson Family won Fastest Family with an average of 17.5 laps.
Zack D. won ages 11-18 with 27 laps @ 3:06
