tie rod slips out

this problem is killing me. my tie rod keeps popping off the servo arm inside the servo case. i keeps taking it apart and putting it back together but will only last for 5 or so minutes and i'm back to doing circles again. i ordered and aluminum tie rod toe in and new servo gears(still waiting to get these) but there isnt any wear at all on the original. the chassis is only 2 weeks old. any ideas on why and how to fix for the future? i know some of you pro's have had this problem before.

does it pop out when you hit something, or does it just pop out? Try turning down the dual rate so the wheels don't go all the way as far as they can to one side, you will really never need to turn that sharp anyway This happened to me a few times with my alloy tie rod on alloy servo gears. I just pinched the 2 prongs that grab the nub on the servo gears a little tighter, never happened again!!

thats probably it. it hasnt happened when i hit anything just when i turn very sharp a few times. i was doing slolom runs so the constant left right is probably the problem. i will turn the dual rate down a little and post back whether or not it works. thanks

Sounds like a unique defect to your car... like the tie rod or gear wasnt molded properly... is the servo case shut all the way? if its seams are gapping it will give it mroe room to pop off.

Thi happened to Mystacool's Z when he got it...it could have even been the first time he drove it. But anyway as I remember he hit an imperfection between concrete slabs at a weird angle and the tierod slipped off the servo gear peg. Easy to repair, dunno if it happened again or not
