I just received one over the holiday season. Great fun. I like how it is compatible with the AWD chassis parts, so I was able to swap over some parts from a busted AWD chassis I had lying around. So far, I've got a 50t PN Racing BB motor with the stock gearing, the DWS rear end I swapped over from the AWD chassis, and the gyro unit.
Packed up the stock gear diff with some Tamiya hard friction grease to limit the diff action and it pulls pretty well on my carpeted basement floor with the stock tires. I ordered the Civic Type-R but swapped over to the Golf R32 I had from the AWD chassis so I wouldn't mar up the clean Civic body. Thinking it would be great to swap the board to ASF so I can continue using the EX-6 radio I'm already using for the other Mini-Zs I have.
Now that I have FWD and already bought an EVO board and receiver, looking to jump right to ASF. With the formal release of EVO MA-03, the parts diagram shows that there is a specific carrier part for the EVO board, MD402 Receiver Cover Set. I cannot find this part for sale yet so may be waiting a bit till this part is released before I convert mine.
