Sai, you are a gentleman. Thank you. I don't know why but I could've sworn I saw a pic of this somewhere... Looks great BTW!
I have to give some praise to Atomic here, they have many original designs and have produced a LOT of various upgrade parts over the 7+ years I have been around Z's. And many Atomic hop-up designs that went by the wayside, I see many hop-ups that use the original ATM idea, then are re-invented somewhere down the line to then become solid performing parts.

It's an upcoming revolutionary 2WD rear suspension system.
Shoulda' put some cams on the ends of that rotating shock mount, then you could have implemented side springs too. Looks cool though, after I (eventually) finish my own rear end I'll have to take this one for a spin!
About AWD-217, I will let you know once I find out from the factory.
New item:
Model: MR3-033
Self Centering Suspension System (MR-02/03) USD $20.0
Is this product meant to be used on cars racing on the RCP tile surface or was it designed with carpet in mind? Somebody came by the track with this system and it did not go very well even after diligent tuning in comparison to other dampening alternatives. I edited my post to remove the joke about our intial test of the product.
For RCP I think the grease used to dampen the centering spring should be waay lighter than 100k silicone oil.. In the product video the damping is super slow and the car would probably react like a '57 Buick...
Maybe try the system with no damping grease, or maybe try 200wt-300wt shock like Kyosho includes with the yellow oil shock (Only grease the top spring like you would with the PN dual top shock).

I apologize, I forgot to ask what tuning you did to try and make this shock work on RCP??
PS - What was the joke? Just for fun? Can't be too bad IMO, just talking about a product... All in good fun.

We tried it without grease first and with a soft spring first. The the car hopped at both ends simtaneously which lead to my joke. The car hopped along the track like a small green rabbit, racing it's way along the bunny trail.
We tried harder springs, adjusting height and preload and introducing oil and grease to the mix. We couldn't even get the system in the ball park of how well the PN DDS functions. If this system was designed for carpet use, I would understand.

The expert tuners at Inside Line Racing got this working great on our RCP track, we used only what was included in the kit with no additional parts added. This setup was running the same time as the lap record for mod.
