Reminder racing this weekend! We will be running on HFAY #24, another longer style track and good change up from #13 last race day.
If needed, happy to have a class/rules run through with everyone again to ensure all are on the same page. No class/rule changes are being considered at this time, we typically do that once, twice a year. We are settling into what feels like a regular group of drivers so this is easy to manage at this point.
I also need time to fully equip demo cars with transponders so that they can be used in races. Right now only one car has a transponder. I have them, just need the time to get them wired up. Also need to QC check them all as i know the ZR1 needs some attention.
Let me know if anyone is interested in tutorial sessions on using ZRound. I’m happy to share my knowledge with others. I am certain I am also not using every tool it offers to it’s fullest so eager to learn from others as well.
Also want to make an effort on my part to get the racing started closer to 1pm as it’s been sliding north of 2pm at times. This necessitates that drivers show up before 1pm and understand that practice time is form 10am-1pm and not expect to show up at 1pm and get dedicated practice time. I’m the weak link in getting this started on time but need the cooperation and participation of everyone to arrive in time to do so. It’s no fun when people start dropping out around 5pm with racing still left to complete as we have ample time to do so if I can manage to keep us on track time wise. I also want to make sure everyone is familiar with the NextLevelTiming webpage for HFAY. All HFAY results are posted on their website and drivers are able to create individual profiles within their club/community.
Also looking for advice on how to better communicate with drivers. I’m not on FB much, and primarily only to serve club functions. I currently share all club activities on this forum and FB club page. I dropped off the dozen or so other forums I also used to participate in so looking for recommendations on what others are using and or what would best serve the club.
I forgot to copy the results so will have to post those later. I think we all had a good time with some good racing, despite some technical car problems of various kinds. I'm still having issues with the Flysky receivers dropping out, even though zip tied to the board. HFAY #24 looks technical but with the right line, is rather straight forward and we had a good time.
