New PN Ball Diff & Diff Shaft

PN Ball Diff: http://www.rckenon.com/public_html/s...oducts_id=4179

Looks pretty cool. Comes stock with 64 pitch gears, light weight stainless steel shaft, V2 pressure plates, and ceramic diff balls. The diff shaft it comes with is not the brand new ultra lightweight shaft, but is lighter than stock nonetheless.

Diff Shaft: http://www.rckenon.com/public_html/s...oducts_id=4187

1.29g ! Enough said...

I wish the diff came with a 52t spur. Thats pretty much the only one I use... Looks nice, although not too fond of the color.

I have been testing that shaft for months and that shaft is SICK! Lightest shaft ever made for mini-z! and I don't feel any torque steer, bending, twisting from it. It feels just like the steel shaft except you can gear your 64 pitch to 3.7 gear ratio and still have the power when coming out of a corner just like driving a 4.0 gear ratio.

I have tried the 53t a few times... I just prefer the 52.

Super secret purpose... now I have to get one to find out the secret...

I just got some of the Qteq diff parts in from Reflex too, which look really nice. I need to find diff rings for them now... None of my ATM or PN diff rings will work.

The thing I can't stand more than anything on my r/cs is aluminum parts anodized in different shades of the same color. Drives me up the wall!

This super secret purpose better do something super amazing if it's gonna bug me everytime I look at my Z. Come on... what's it do?

EMU, let us know how you like the the Qteq diff stuff.

just sand down the qtec plates and then you can use normal diff rings . it sux to have to do that but unlees you have 3racing rings it will not work.

that color is Hard Coat anodize. The coating puts a hard skin on the shaft making it harder to nick or mark. The shaft is not only light but it is durable....

hard coat has its own color and depending on the grade of aluminum that is the color you get. Softer aluminum takes a deeper color. the range is from a dark gray to a greenish gold.....In my industry(pharma machinery) we hardcoat many components.

Ordered a new PN diff and shaft to test...

I also ordered some Kyosho plates and o-rings for the Qtec diff... Going to try it on a 3Racing shaft, or possibly the PN ultralight shaft for extreme lightness... I may have a 3Racing diff around somewhere that I could pull the plates for as well (have 2 Qtec packages).

When you get the ultralight diff shaft can you check to see if it fit Kyosho diffs please.

I'm going to have to get my hands on the Qteq parts, I got to their site a few minutes to late, those parts look sweet though.
