4 New Mini-Z’s, such a bummer

So I order everything, 4 cars, 2 tracks, lap timer, $200 of batteries and chargers and I have 1 car out of 4 new cars to run. 1 car will not bind and two cars will not turn right. I have adjusted the trim all the way and the cars still pull a bunch to the left. I took a peak, hoping to see a servo horn to re-align. Nope, a stack of gears that I cannot move to set the steering arm to nuetral on the car with the trim set to neutral. I’m shocked that Kyosho sends out cars in this condition from the factory. So now that I have all the hardware. Who makes a car that runs strait, has the ability to have adjustable trim on the radio, and is of great quality.
So much for having some RC fun when the kids come for Christmas. Allen

Ae they sports models or the newer RWD series of cars? I don't think this is normal.

I think I might have found my answer the the trim problem on page 20. It’s not just a radio adjustment on the trim button but another complete reset with the pairing button and physically center the wheels by hand.

I think you have found the answer. There was something similar I had to do with a mr-03 sport that was having the same problem.

If you still need help, post again and I'll respond with the steps someone here gave me.

Often the first time the car is powered up, the steering is calibrated. If the wheels are not centered, then a factory reset will be needed to center them. I set up a rental fleet, and factory reset each car out of the box just to ensure that the trim was straight.

Welcome to the world of Mini-Z, I hope you enjoy it. Sorry that your first encounter was a little sour, but this is a wonderful hobby full of depth.

I apologize for my frustration yesterday. Under time constraints to get prepared for company, lol. We had a blast last night with a couple cars. What’s really cool is my wife loves it. I race gas hydros, mono, cats etc. She won’t get near the fleet. These cars are a whole new world. I’m going to start another post because I need some more help. Thanks for the help and Merry Christmas, Allen

Glad to see you were able to get up and running and have fun! My wife has driven a car for a total of maybe 1 hour since say 2004... your a lucky guy. My wife only picked up a transmitter when a good friend came over with his wife. His wife has RC experience and has run with us at times.

Were an open book here regarding experience and sharing information, ask anything

This scale is unlike other scales, we don't hold our secrets... gaining another mini-z racer, is adding another to the family. I can completely understand your frustration, and want to help make the experience as enjoyable for you and your racing team as we can.
